A gravel ride in the rain today!
That’s what gravel bikes are made for!
And of course!
That’s what Imezi Gravel Wheels are made for!
Fat knobby tyres at low pressure are important for grip.
Shoe covers are a must.
The Kashiwazaki to Koshigi gravel section (50km or 100km out and back) doesn’t go very high, so snow melts quickly.
The gravel condition is best after the snowmelt.
More compact and uniform.
The odd patch of snow in the usual place.
Some cherry blossoms remain on the tops of the bergs.
Will ride for beer. Will stop for flowers.
Will also stop for a branch in the spokes! Luckily it’s the non drive side.
At Koshigi it’s raining. Biblical rain. So I take in a few on road passes.
This is a pretty good GRAVEL DRAGON for a Strava Artist!
Tomorrow I will do a guided ride for Bikes Beach Bergs in July.
On Sunday, team Imezi will ride the Sanjo gravel in preparation for May’s Rapha Prestige.
GRAVEL SEASON START!
